The following regulations shall apply to the installation of wireless communications
facilities in the public rights-of-way throughout the city. These regulations are
intended to establish comprehensive guidelines for the permitting, placement, design
and maintenance of wireless communications facilities in the public rights-of-way.
These regulations are intended to prescribe clear, reasonable and predictable criteria
to assess and process applications in a consistent and expeditious manner, while reducing
impacts associated with wireless communications facilities. These regulations are
intended to protect the health, safety and welfare of persons living and working in
the city, preserve the aesthetic values and scenic qualities of the city, and allow
for the orderly and efficient deployment of wireless communications facilities in
accordance with state and federal laws.
